  • The number of property crime offenses in the City of Columbus was 48,813 in 2009, representing a 13.7% decrease since 1999.
  • The FBI's Uniform Crime Index reported other Franklin County cities had the following numbers of property crimes in 2009: Whitehall, 1,614; Reynoldsburg, 1,202; Hilliard, 930; Gahanna, 906; Westerville, 863; Dublin, 809; Bexley, 396; Worthington, 326.
  • In Columbus, there were 2,042 fewer vehicle theft offenses in 2009 than in 2007. The number of theft and larceny offenses in Columbus has decreased steadily between 2001 and 2009.
