Explanations and Caveats:

  • The ODRC 2008 Intake Study collected data on all inmates who entered the ODRC prison system during a 2-month period. Information was obtained from interviews with inmates at reception centers, written investigations, and ODRC records to supplement partial or incomplete investigation reports. The total sample size was 3,264.
  • Of the total persons included in the ODRC 2008 Intake Study, 281 (8.6%) were from Franklin County. This included 247 males and 34 females.
