The following are key points from the data in the tables and graphs found on the “Data” tab. The “Sources and Notes” tab provides additional information about the data.
- In the 2010-2011 school year, a large number of Franklin County students (61,902) were in school districts with an Excellent with Distinction rating. This comprised 38.3% of the county’s students.
- Two of the 16 Franklin County school districts (New Albany -Plain Local and Hamilton Local) moved down in their performance results between the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 school years, wh ereas three (Gahanna-Jefferson City, Canal Winchester Local, and Groveport Madison Local) improved their ratings. Whitehall City and Columbus City School districts maintained their Continuous Improvement rating.
- The majority of 2010–2011 Franklin County students (65.7%) were enrolled in school districts that had an Excellent with Distinction or Excellent rating in the 2009– 201 0 school year.
